Retired... Again... 3rd Time but this time?

I think there is something wrong with the word REtire. I looked up synonyms for retirement. Some were pretty funny and spot on. To wit: Start out, set forth, slope off, hook it, bugger off and absent yourself from work or other places. Right?
However, before we could do any of those things, we had A LOT of planning to do. Three months of down time before jetting off to New Zealand, Gone Bambu, and resuming our sailing/cruising life. There, summer begins February 1 and we had no desire to suffer through a 3rd season of cold 35+ mph winds and downpours. Everyday. And Darrell had no desire to continue working for another 3 months.
We hatched a plan to spend November in Texas, December in Belize, and most of January in Mexico hanging out with friends and family everywhere. Oh my word. We had to prepare for 3 continents, 3 countries, and 2 states all with different climates and wardrobe needs. Texas can have all four seasons in one day and Santa Rosa, CA is cold to frigid in January. As a side note, did you know that New Zealand is part of the Oceania continent which is divided into the country of Australia, and the Earth's smallest continent Zealandia, a microcontinent that includes New Zealand. I had no idea! Thank goodness for Google!
Before we hit the road on November 1, we loaded the car with 4 large suitcases for Gone Bambu filled with 3 years of boat parts and repair kits, 1 medium suitcase each for Belize and Mexico that included snorkel gear, a small amount of kitchen stuff for the VRBO homes we rented, coffee, and chocolate. Not to mention carry on luggage, road trip bags and our favorite boozy beverages. We were loaded and prepared to get loaded!

As much as we love road trips and our sailing/cruising life, we love and greatly miss our friends and cherish sooo many memories. We took thousands of pictures so be prepared for a barrage. I hope none of you are in WitSec or on some random wanted poster. ❤️❤️❤️ Much love and thanks for all the wonderful memories.
